Plug and Play Video

In the Visual Components simulation environment each discrete device is called a component. The component can be saved individually and stored in a library for reuse. Component can have an interface to which other components can be connected using the plug n play function. Components will only connect is they have interfaces of the same type.

In this video the production machine includes a gantry robot performing a pick and place route. The simulation is paused and using plug and play the gantry robot is removed. Then a scara robot is brought into the simulation environment from the library and connected to the production machine using plug and play. Once the interface is connected the pick and place positions are passed from the production machine to the scara robot.
