Add-On Video

Visual Components can be customised by creating add-on using C++, Visual Basic or Python.

The video on the right shows a prototype add-on where Visual Components has been connected to the Machine Vision Library Halcon. The add-on was developed in Visual Basic, when installed the Add-On appears as a extra tab within 3DCreate.

The add-on is used to process video information. A video feed of a conveyor transporting biscuits is processed by Halcon, to calculate the positions of the biscuits. These positions are then passed to the component creator, which places biscuits at the correct locations on the conveyor. An ABB Flexpicker IRB340 is then used to pick the biscuits from the conveyor.
