About the job

The role:- * Activities involve machinery safety inspections particularly in the area of MEWPs, providing tech support in safe machine design & CE marking requirements; drafting & review of tech files; training * The job requires someone with a breadth of engineering experience & a love of machinery & involves regular travel within in the UK & abroad Skills and requirements:- * To have familiarity with different & complex hazardous machines from a range of manufacturing sectors, particularly evidence of experience with powered access equipment * To enjoy manufacturing & machinery & have some understanding of user requirements * Evidence of hands-on experience with machinery, be it design, development, engineering management or maintenance * Some experience in tech compliance, or knowledge of, would be an advantage * Mechanical (possibly electrical) engineering degree with sound academic qualifications from school & university * Excellent communication skills; ability to write clearly in English; tact & diplomacy in customer interaction * Attention to detail: ability to understand, interpret & apply legal requirements & standards * A good understanding of what it means to work in an impartial manner Remuneration:- * A competitive salary * Workplace pension * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * Support with Continuous Professional Development
