Lean Manufacturing Simulation

Lean Manufacturing is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste (non-value-added activities) through continuous improvement by flowing the product at the pull of the customer in pursuit of perfection.

Implementing a lean enabler like a Kiazen event could save thousands of pounds, but how much would it cost implementing a Kiazen event which reduced efficiency and productivity because of an unseen consequence. A simulation model of the facility would enable the lean practitioners to test and prove the effects and improvements that can be gain by using lean.

The SimX team believes that simulation of lean techniques is a very important topic which will be useful to many different companies. To ensure that SimX is providing cutting edge simulation we have developed a new VC add-on called SLIMM (Sustainable Lean-Agile Integrated Manufacturing Module).
